Member of Well Known Fountain County Family Succumbs Veedersburg- March 18 - Thomas J. Ansberry, member of a well known family here, died at noon Friday at a hospital in Evansville. He had been in failing health for about five years. Mr. Ansberry was born in Connecticut, in 1864, the son of William and Mary Ansberry. He would have been 74 years of age on Saturday, March 19. He had been a resident of Veedersburg for 50 years, being employed in local factories during his early life and serving 16 years as a watchman on the Big Four railroad here. The deceased was a charter member of the Eagles lodge of Crawfordsville and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church of Veedersburg. He was married to Martha Black who survives with three daughters, Miss Elizabeth Ansberry of Danville, Ill., and Miss Myrtle Ansberry and Mrs. Marguerite Smith, both of Veedersburg. Three grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Rose Doyle of Crawfordsville also survive. The body will be brought to Veedersburg by H.C. Fishero and Son, funeral directors, and arrangements for the funeral will be announced later.- thanks to Kim H

Word was received here today by Mrs. Rose Doyel, 711 east Franklin street, of the death of her nephew, Thomas Ansberry at Veedersburg. Mr. Ansbery, about twenty years of age, died from consumption at his home in Veedersburg. He was the only son of Thomas and Martha Ansbery. The funeral services will be conducted at Veedersburg Monday morning with burial at Covington. - thanks to Kim H
